If it's supposed to be the END of PUPPY SEASON I guess all the Momma Dogs and Puppies didn't get that Memo! That means we have many great ‘pups’ ranging in age from 6 weeks to 9 months old - ALL looking for their Forever Family! Stop by our off-site adoption location listed below to see our 'adorable adoptables'. We also have several young kittens looking for new homes. But please don't forget to think about the GREAT TEENAGE and ADULT cats that so often get passed over for a younger kitten!

Who We Are
Bear’s World is a non-profit educational pet safety program for Pre-K thru 5th grade school children. 'For the past 7 years our dog 'Bear' has been traveling the state of GA visiting school children teaching a 'pet safety class'. Companion Animal Connection' is Bear’s World’s new ‘pet rescue & adoption’ program created to assist families looking for a companion animal.
When I created Bear’s World, my goal was to give something precious to children - the opportunity to enjoy a happy and healthy bond with companion animals that can be the foundation for a lifetime of pet guardianship.
Children raised with pets show many benefits:
•Developing positive feelings about pets can contribute to a child’s self-esteem and self-confidence.
•Positive relationships with pets can aid in the development of trusting relationships with others.
•A good relationship with a pet can also help in developing non-verbal communication, compassion, and empathy.
Most families choose the wrong type of pet for their family dynamic and lifestyle. Sadly, many of these pets end up ‘abandoned’ in an animal shelter which promotes the message that animals are ‘disposable’.
Adopting a life-long friend
To adopt a companion animal from our organization you must visit us at one of our off-site adoption locations or call for a private appt. at our shelter and fill out an application.
Adoption fees:
•For most puppies/dogs - $299.00
•For most kittens/cats - $169.00
Adoption Fee can be paid by cash or check.
The adoption fee includes spaying/neutering, heartworm test, and ALL vaccinations (except Rabies). All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and AIDS. All our animals are de-wormed and treated with Frontline Plus to prevent fleas. You'll also receive a coupon for pet supplies, a FREE bag of Nutro pet food and a FREE PetsIncredible Dog or Cat training DVD.
